Chinthaka de Gamage
Captain Ching has been a valued member of the Soolyman Sportfishing team since 2012, beginning his journey as a deckhand before working his way up to captain through years of dedication, hard work, and experience on the water.
With extensive knowledge of both bottom fishing and offshore game fishing, Chinthaka has built an impressive record over the years, including 78 sailfish, 19 striped marlin, and 2 black marlin catches – all successfully released as part of responsible catch-and-release sportfishing practices.
Originally from Sri Lanka, fishing has always been a part of his life, but his passion and experience have grown even further during his years fishing professionally in the UAE. Known for his determination, seamanship, and calm approach on the water, Captain Ching is committed to delivering memorable and exciting experiences for every guest onboard.
Chamila de Silva
With over 30 years of combined maritime and offshore experience, Captain Chamila De Silva brings exceptional knowledge, professionalism, and passion to every fishing trip.
Chamila proudly served 12 years in the Sri Lanka Navy and 5 years in the Sri Lanka Coast Guard, building extensive expertise in navigation, marine operations, and safety at sea. He later continued his maritime career in the UAE, working with Fujairah Marine Club, East Coast Sport Fishing, and now with Soolyman Sportfishing for the past 6 years.
Specialising in deep-sea fishing, trolling, casting, and jigging, Captain Chamila has extensive experience targeting tuna and other powerful game fish, while creating memorable experiences for anglers from around the world. Also known as ‘The Tuna Slayer”.
Dilshan Madusanka
Captain Dilshan Madusanka is a highly experienced sportfishing captain from the southern coast of Sri Lanka, with over 6 years of offshore fishing experience in the UAE with Soolyman Sportfishing.
Specialising in deep-sea fishing, trolling, casting, and jigging, Dilshan is known for his skill, leadership, and passion for big game fishing. A major career highlight was captaining the 2024 FOFT winning team, achieving the rare accomplishment of catching three striped marlins at the same time.
With a lifelong connection to the ocean, Captain Dilshan is dedicated to delivering exciting and unforgettable fishing experiences for every guest onboard.
Captain Kisal Sachintha
Originally from the southern coast of Sri Lanka, Captain Kisal is a passionate and experienced sportfishing captain with a lifelong love for the ocean.
For the past five years, Kisal has been part of the team at Soolyman Sportfishing in the UAE, specialising in deep-sea and offshore fishing adventures. Experienced in trolling, casting, and jigging, he enjoys guiding both beginners and experienced anglers in pursuit of tuna, mahi mahi, and other exciting big game species.
Kisal was also proud to be part of the winning team at the 2024 FOFT competition, reflecting his dedication and skill within the sportfishing industry.
